The South Eastern Vintage and Classic Vehicle Club Limited are pleased to announce the 12th running of the LONDON TO SOUTHEND CLASSIC CAR RUN to take place on the 24th of JULY , sponsored by Eastgate Shopping Centre and held in conjuction with Southend Borough Council

Entries are invited to join this now well established and enjoyable event . The theme is a day in the 60's when hundreds of Londoners would drive to the seaside at Southend .

The event follows last year successful single format with a single start at Fairlop Waters in East London . There will be a half way stop in Basildon for refreshments before the run continues on to Southend along the old A13 for the finish on the seafront .

Entries are restricted to vehicles registered prior to 1st Jan 1976 . A start from Basildon is available for pre 1950 vehicles .

This year we are not asking for entrants to raise sponsorship , but part of the entry fee will go to charity . Prizes will be awarded for occupants best dressed in the period of their vehicle , as well as a prize for the longest distance traveled to the event , and various age categories ..

The World Record holder balances a 26 stone Mini on top of his head – unaided! You can not afford to miss this head turning show; it has to be seen to be believed. The MiniWorld Show is proud to announce a number of exclusive guest appearances from cast of the original Italian Job film, who will be giving a behind the scenes insight, plus a signing session. If you’re a fan of The Italian Job, and what Mini owner isn’t, then make sure you pick up a copy of the Italian Job film poster only available at the MiniWorld Show and for a small donation to MiniWorld’s chosen charity the NCH, you can get it signed at the show.

Most importantly, The MiniWorld Show 2005 has the greatest collection of Minis to ever be seen together; from Clubmans to Hornets, and Pick-ups to Mokes. Apart from the fantastic show cars, The MiniWorld Show offers a whole host of traders who will be offering truly unbeatable show bargains and the fantastic Mini clubs who pull out all the stops to display their vehicles.

All new for this year is the motorsport grid area displaying some awesome racecars from the Mini Se7en Club, alongside the glow show where funky Minis will dazzle you with their neon lights. Not to be missed is the awesome MiniWorld art gallery – where amazing pieces of ‘Mini’ art will be on display for your viewing pleasure.

There is plenty to keep the little ones amused with scalextric, bouncy castle, face painting and radio controlled cars! If you see yourself as a bit of a racing driver then don’t miss out on the on site Daytona Go Kart track – open for arrive and drive track fun.
